Oscar Moments
by Dana Wilson, who is an Oscar moment in training.

1. Angelina Jolie and her kryptonite earrings.
When Smile Pinki won best short and Angelina saw the poor kid with the cleft pallet, she leapt out of her chair and shouted, “I must HAVE that child!”

2. Sophia Loren’s return to her frozen chamber.
After she was defrosted for the Best Actress award presentation, Sophia was immediately rushed back to her cryogenic chamber so she can appear again in 20 years exactly the same. Ironically, when she first went in she only had a dress from when she was eight, so that explains that.

3. When “Man on Wire” man did the balancing act with the Oscar.
Just. Cuz.

4. When Adrien Brody won for sluttiest dress.
I mean. Gross.

5. Slumdog winning for Visual Effects.
It was a double effect in that it seemed that Benjamin Button won, but actually Slumdog swept every category. Slumdog also heavily employed visual effects throughout the movie because it was actually shot in Akron, Ohio not Mumbai.
