Trends To Strengthen in the New Decade

 
1. Hope
It started with Obama and whether or not you're happy with the outcome, embrace the bigger idea. Hope is powerful. Hope is good. Hope hasn't been around in awhile. Welcome it back.
 
2. Young Politics
Hey youngsters, you came out in droves last year. Don't stop now! Write letters, make phonecalls, make your voice heard. It is your country, your world. Take control now. Or all those old white guys are gonna get their way. Except you Barney Frank - you're so cuddly and have a funny voice.
 
3. Creative Freedom
Not so much a trend as a hope for a trend. Let's get some original stories going. It's either that or scientists warn we may run out of Marvel action characters by 2014.
 
4. Solve Global Warming
If we don't, Al Gore has threatened the use of another PowerPoint presentation.
 
5. Death Panels
The beginnings of Hope. As long as I'm Judge and Jury.
